Marylin Huskamp is a self-tought artist who has a love for fibers. She has worked with this medium in various way for over 40 years. Her passion began when she started making dolls. It has since evolved into composing beautiful works of art through fiber fusion,fiber dyeing and painting. She carefully blends ribbons, lace, yarns, fabrics, buttons, and other ephemera to capture the viewer through her use of vibrant colors and interesting textures. Marylin is constantly experimenting to find new and interesting ways to achieve greater depth in her pieces. She believes the only limit to what can be created with fibers is controled only by one's imagination. Marylin's motto is: "In art, there are no mistakes - only diversions to greater creativity."
Marylin participates in a number of art shows throughout the Mid-West, Pacific and Southern regions of the country. her work has also been featured in a Mid-West retail store specializing in home decor.
